Welcome to Review Kids’ books!

I guess I should start by telling you why I decided to start this site.

Well… I am a mom of two children who love books. I have looked for a site that rates kids books and would help me find a book on a certain topic without success. There are lots of resources out there to find books about a certain topic, but none that really rate them from a parent or kids point of view.

This is what I hope to accomplish with this site. I will write about some of the books my kids and I love, and those we don’t love. Also include a parent rating and a kid rating of the book. I would also like to see you (the reader) get involved too by recommending books and rating them. What a great resource we could have!

As my daughter gets older and is starting to read book on her own, I want to know what the book is about. Is it age appropriate? Is there a theme in the book that I might like to discuss with her?

Sometimes I do take the time to read through her books. I really like Geronimo Stilton. But some books I just don’t have the time or enthusiasm to read. That’s is where we can help each other out.

My son is younger and is still reading books like “Good Night Moon”. I will also include reviews on the preschool books as well. It always fascinates me what books they want to hear over and over.

I am looking forward to this exciting adventure in books. Maybe a children’s book club will come out of this. Who knows?
